It all began with an idea in a garage in Marling – and the courage of Helmut Kostner. The small craft business grew into a company that sets standards for elegant glass solutions in the DACH region and beyond.
Georg Stampfer took over METEK 15 years ago and set the course for the future: “It was completely new territory for me at the time, but that's exactly what appealed to me. That experience still drives me today.”
METEK processes glass in all its forms and concentrates on three areas: Facades, automatic sliding doors, wine rooms and cabinets. "Our customers expect innovative, elegant solutions," says Managing Director Ewald Wiedenhofer. Precision, sustainability and individual advice are of paramount importance.
METEK is celebrating a second anniversary with its production site in Assling, which opened 25 years ago. “The team lives and breathes true craftsmanship,” emphasizes Wolfgang Passler, Managing Director of the branch in East Tyrol.
Over the past 15 years, METEK has grown from 20 to 65 employees. “We have learned what we are good at – and we are sticking to it,” says Wiedenhofer. Partnership, quality, and vision shape the company's self-image. The slogan “elegant glazing for elegant lifestyle” sums up the vision: glass solutions that inspire.
The anniversary is more than just a moment to pause and reflect. It is a thank you – to the people behind the story. The highlight will be a family celebration in August. “This milestone belongs to everyone who has shaped METEK and all those who will continue to develop it in the future,” say Ewald Wiedenhofer, Wolfgang Passler, and Georg Stampfer in unison.
